Paluten

This January I finished the work on the latest Paluten book trailer. It was the tenth one that I had the pleasure of working on. When I was first asked to help out and animate some additional scenes in 2020, I never thought that these little projects would become a recurring guest in my studio.

Just because these trailers are small projects doesn't mean the production is less complex. Similar to a big animation production all the necessary steps have to be done to get the final look. For a book trailer like this it usually takes 3 to 4 weeks to do the animation, clean-up, colouring, background paintings and last but not least the compositing. Because of its short length I have the rare opportunity to do all the steps myself producing the final images on my own as a one-man-band:
